LATEST NEWS

We're relocating our Aberdeen store from Schoolhill to the Trinity Centre.  Please see press release below:

Style for your Shape first opened at 2 Schoolhill Aberdeen in July 2022 after running a series of pop-up shops across the North-East since Oct 2020.  The boutique had a very successful and profitable start even in a post-covid environment, but with recent challenges being faced in the city centre that are out of our control, we have decided to take the opportunity to relocate the shop to a higher footfall area in the city centre.

We still want to be based in Aberdeen and keep our size inclusive womenswear offering in the city as it is much needed, so we are delighted to announce our move to the Trinity Centre, within the previous Debenhams unit, utilising the Collabz space and working with WeToo! Charity.  The Trinity Centre have worked with us to find a suitable unit that will also potentially allow us to have another local business alongside us.  We are grateful to the Trinity Centre and WeToo! for working with us to make this move a reality and we look forward to collaborating in our new space.

The last day of trading at 2 Schoolhill, AB10 1JX, will be Sat 1st Feb and the new opening of our Trinity Centre store will be Sat 8th Feb.  We are running an outlet sale from 22nd Jan to 1st Feb at 2 Schoolhill, with fantastic discounts of up to 75% off.  We will be online trading only from 2nd-7th Feb while we carry out the relocation.   We’d like to thank the Bon Accord Centre for supporting us from our pop-ups in Curated Aberdeen and for being our home for the past 2.5 years.

Quote from Victoria Mutch, Founder & Director of Style for your Shape
“I’m excited for our move to Trinity Centre and to start the next chapter of our journey.  It’s been no secret that things have been tough the last 18 months since the introduction of traffic measures, bus gates and subsequently LEZ.  I’ve been in regular contact with councillors indicating the impact their decisions are having on businesses in the city centre and sadly I couldn’t justify keeping the business in its current location at Schoolhill, so I’ve made the decision to move to a higher footfall area to keep the doors open.  There are fantastic businesses in the city centre and we are all trying our best in the current challenging circumstances.  I look forward to welcoming our existing customers to our new store and hopefully get to meet lots of new customers too. I’m grateful to Trinity Centre and WeToo! for working together to provide a great opportunity for my business and would like to thank Bon Accord Centre for their support over the last 2.5 years.”

Victoria was asked to be part of a feature for the Press & Journal on the topic of 'Body Positivity'. She shares her experience growing up in the thin-crazed nineties, thoughts on body acceptance, and her role models in the media who inspire much needed change and why she is leading that change in the North East of Scotland.
